Before booking your charter, please examine this policy thoroughly. By reserving a yacht with CentralDataExchange, you consent to these terms regarding refunds.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
More than 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Refund Amount: Complete refund excluding service charges
Refund Duration: 5-7 working days
Service Charge: €50 for credit card payments
Request Condition: Must be submitted in writing through email or phone communication
24-72 Hours Before Charter Start
Refund Amount: Half of the total cost of the charter
Refund Duration: 7-10 working days
Service Charge: €25 subtracted from the refund amount
Request Condition: A legitimate reason is necessary; subject to administrative costs
Less than 24 Hours Before Charter Commences
Refund Amount: Refunds not available
Exception: Exceptional circumstances may be taken into consideration
Alternative: Issuance of credit for charter may be contemplated at our discretion
Request Condition: Proof is mandatory for emergency cases
Cancellations Due to Weather
Weather-Related Guarantee
Your safety is our utmost concern. Should our seasoned captain deem the weather conditions perilous for charter activities, we offer the following options:
- Full Refund: A complete refund if rescheduling is not feasible
- Rebooking: Arrange the charter for an alternative date without extra costs
- Credit for Charter: Credit valid for one year from the original date of the charter
Evaluation of Weather Conditions
We utilize the following to assess weather conditions:
- An examination of wind speed and trajectories
- Assessment of wave heights and ocean conditions
- Projections of visibility and rain
- Notifications from the Coast Guard and any cautions
- Safety verdicts by a professional captain
Decision Timeframe: Choices regarding weather-based cancellations are made at the latest, 4 hours before the proposed departure time.
Refunds for Medical Emergencies
Critical Circumstances
We acknowledge that unforeseen medical emergencies can happen. These scenarios might qualify for exceptional refund consideration:
- Abrupt medical issues or injuries necessitating hospitalization
- Passing of a family member
- Call-up or unexpected military deployment
- Mandatory jury service or court orders
- Disasters impacting travel plans
Requirement for Documentation
For consideration of emergency refund claims, please furnish the following:
- Medical statement or documents from a hospital
- Certificate of death, if relevant
- Formal military instructions
- Subpoena or notification for jury duty
- Advisories or declarations of emergencies impacting travel
Refund Timing: Decision on refunds for emergencies is reached within 3-5 business days after we receive the necessary documents.
Cancellations Based on Operational Issues
Problems of a Mechanical Nature
If the vessel you’ve been allotted encounters unsolvable mechanical troubles:
- Replacement Vessel: We will attempt to provide a similar substitute
- Full Refund: When no acceptable alternative is at hand
- Partial Refund: In case the alternative vessel is differently priced
- Recompense: We may offer additional compensation for the inconvenience
Absence of Crew
In the rare instance where an authorized crew is unavailable:
- Replacement crew will be arranged if feasible
- Total refund in case the charter fails to go ahead
- Postponement with no extra charges
Methods for Processing Refunds
Mode of Payment
Refunds will be directed back to the original method of payment:
- Credit Cards: Within 5-7 business days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 business days
- Cash/Cheque: 3-5 business days

Policies Regarding Charter Credits
Scenarios for Credit Issuance
Charter credits might be provided as a refund alternative under certain conditions:
- For last-minute cancellations (below 24 hours)
- If the cancellation is weather-induced
- When guests choose to reschedule voluntarily
- Due to operational hindrance
Credit Specifications
- Validity: Credible for 12 months from the date of issuing
- Transferability: Credits cannot be moved to others
- Value: Entire amount of the charter (exempt of service fees)
- Usage: Applicable to any forthcoming charters
- Expiry: Credits must be used within a 12 months span; no extensions
Refunds for Partial Service
Disruptions During Service
Should your charter be hindered or cut short by events under our control:
- Refunds calculated on the unused portion
- A voucher matching the value of the future charter
- Additional services complimentary or upgrades at no charge
Terminations by Guests
If a charter is concluded prematurely due to misconduct by guests or safety breaches:
- No returns for the non-used portion
- Entire cost is still owed
- Extra expenses may be levied
Resolving Disputes
Disagreements concerning refunds can be managed by:
- Asking for a reevaluation by our leadership team
- Providing supplementary documentation or evidence
- Engaging consumer protection bodies for aid
- Legal options pursuant to relevant laws

We will acknowledge your plea within one day, assess it in accordance with this policy, and inform you of the decision within two days. If approved, refunds will be processed within the established timeframes.

- All applications for refunds must be conveyed in written form
- Reimbursements are issued in € no matter the original currency used for payment
- We highly advise purchasing travel insurance
- Terms of this policy may evolve with 30 days notice
- Refunds adhere to relevant taxes and legal stipulations
